We're keen that developers, who take part on their own time, retain the IP that they create. However to generate the widest benefit from this event we encourage them to provide Open Source licences for the results of their creativity by creating a Public Repository on Github with an MIT license (http://choosealicense.com).
Prior to the event you can research ideas but you can’t begin coding. All code and artefacts developed at the event should be stored in public GitHub repositories.
